The OEM catalogue and part listing detail varies significantly depending on the manufacturer and age of the vehicle. Some catalogues will include Color or Trim codes on parts to confirm the color or specification of the part. The details can vary significantly and can be quite difficult to understand.
In some cases, particularly for older vehicles, there is simply no available information to confirm the color of the part and a broader search by part number online may be the best way to check.
