Prepaid Import Duty & Taxes to the USA

Import duties & taxes are charged for international shipments during clearance through customs in accordance to import law in your country. 

As of mid October 2025, for shipments into the USA, Nengun Performance offers pre-paid import duty & taxes, calculated in real-time during checkout. The additional payment is included in the final order total and is paid during checkout. After order placement, the duties & taxes are detailed on the order email, order detail screens and shipment invoice for reference.

The prepayment of duties and tariffs ensures a fast clearance through customs and a seamless delivery experience. No further payment required during delivery by the customer and Nengun Performance will handle any disputes or misclassifications with US Customs directly with the carrier. 

The calculation of duties and tariffs are performed by an authorised 3rd party in real-time. The 3rd part calculates the cost based on current US HTS classifications and value of the parts in your shopping cart. Typically the charges include a tariff of around 15% for auto parts from Japan, plus any categorised or material based tariff, plus a standard customs clearance and carrier processing fee. However, the rates and charges can vary significantly depending on US Trade Policy and shipping carrier policies.
